About us
A family's promise to keep doing good
Shubhkarman means good deeds. We are a family run trust from Delhi that shares food, learning, company and care with people who need it, and we welcome anyone who wants to join in.
Our story
The beginning
It began with one man's belief
Long before there was a trust, there was a belief at home. Shri Rajesh Kukreja held that a good deed is never wasted: it comes back to you, just as a bad one does. He did not want that to stay a saying. He wanted the family to act on it, together and often.
2019
Shubhkarman Trust is formed
In 2019 the belief was given a name. The family set up Shubhkarman Trust and began with what was close to hand: spending time with children and the people who look after them, and handing out supplies to families in Delhi, in person.
2021
Meals for Covid patients
When the pandemic closed the city, families with Covid at home could neither cook nor step out. With the support of Optima Mart, the Trust delivered safe, home cooked lunches and dinners to patients across Delhi, for anyone who called.
2024
A loss, and a promise
In 2024 we lost the man who started it all. The work could have ended there. Instead the family made a promise: what he began would carry on in his name, and reach further than before.
Today
Carrying it forward
Sonia Kukreja now leads Shubhkarman with the family and a growing circle of volunteers. Our work rests on four pillars, food, education, community and care, and we are taking it to more places across North India. Everyone is welcome to take part.

Our mission
To make doing good a habit: regular, hands on acts of service that anyone can join.
Our vision
A North India where no child goes without a meal, a book or someone who cares, and where kindness is something neighbours do together.
What we work on
Food
for a brighter day
Education
for a stronger tomorrow
Community
for an inclusive society
Care
for a kinder world
How we work
We show up in person
We meet the people we serve, hand to hand and face to face.
Dignity first
We give the way we would want to receive: with respect and a smile.
Small deeds, done often
One meal, one book, one visit. Repeated, they change lives.
Open to all
Any age, any background. If you want to help, there is a place for you.
What our name means
Shubh karman means good deeds. The line on our banners comes from the shabad Deh Shiva Bar Mohe Ihe:
शुभ कर्मन ते कभुं न टरूं
May I never turn away from doing good.
